2007 HERITAGE HALL OF HONOR INDUCTION CEREMONY

  A good crowd gathered for the event...

and soon we had a full house...

Several attendees perused the table of memorabilia from old" Bremerton, the downtown YMCA and from the inductees activities.

Glen Godfrey and YMCA Foundation President Jim Page welcomed the audience for the first Heritage Hall of Honor Induction

Glen spoke about the first inductee, Herb Goodman, and the award was received by a relative of Herb's

Board President Cheryl Oakley spoke about Marge Thorne's amazing accomplishments and Marge receives her plaque and flowers...

Glen spoke about Ike Parker, as did a good friend, Gary Sexton

Jim Page spoke about his Mentor, Dr John Stanley  

Refreshments were provided to the attendees and tours of the Gym and Hall or Honor were provided

The plaques are placed on the upper ring of walls in the Gym - the "Hall of Honor"

The Kitsap Sun had reporter Amy Vogel and a photographer at the event.
